About Laura

Laura Graham is a Salford-based producer working across music, culture and live events. She comes up with ideas, develops other people’s and, most importantly, works out how to make them happen.

That might mean finding the talent, establishing relationships or building partnerships, pulling together a crew, producing a shoot, filling a room, managing a budget or changing the plan completely when something inevitably goes sideways. Usually, it’s a bit of everything.

After 25+ years across media, publicity, communications and production, Laura has worked with everyone from emerging bands and singers, tiny grassroots venues to household names, broadcasters, charities, big brands and major cultural organisations.

She’s produced documentaries, live-streams, club nights, awards, launches, panels and big live events. Sitting still has never really been in the diary.

Music is her passion - she created Manchester: Unplugged, her music documentary series digging into the story behind one song, told by the actual songwriter.

She helped create the first Nordoff & Robbins Northern Music Awards, spent five years producing music and cultural content for GMCA’s StreamGM, and is currently producing Weir:Live, a free music and culture event in Stockport.

There have been awards and some very big audiences along the way, including over 100,000 views for Manchester: Unplugged and more than 200,000 viewers around the world for The Haçienda’s 40th birthday livestream.

But the bit Laura really loves is finding the interesting angle, spotting talent, putting good people together and taking an idea from ‘what if we did this?’ to ‘bloody hell, we actually did it.’
